Captain JJ Gerritsen’s been on the water his whole life, and he’s still at the helm today. As captain of our family boat the Piky, he leads every trip, catching every albacore by hand with skill, care, and deep respect for the ocean. By catching fish one at a time with a pole and line, we avoid waste, protect ocean habitats, and ensure future generations can fish these same waters. There’s no industrial damage. No unintended catch. Just a deep respect for the sea and the life it sustains. The Craft Fish Company is a small business with deep roots. We do it all ourselves, from catching the fish to packing your order. Every fish we pack is traceable, and every decision we make is built around sustainability.
